Checking your manometer

Checking your manometer (the gauge on your #radon mitigation pipe) periodically helps you make sure the system is functioning properly. Can you tell if this system is working based on the photo?

If you guessed that this fan needs help, YOU ARE CORRECT! A manometer measures the pressure in the pipe to easily show if a fan is working. Having the levels UNEVEN is what you want to see!
If your manometer shows EVEN levels in the U-tube, make sure you call a radon mitigation specialist to check your fan out.
